Immigration Reality: Photos from the Border

Great pictures that show the kind of terrain that migrants are traversing to get to el otro lado, the other side. Although fewer migrants are trying to cross this year, in part because of the government crackdown on the border - especially in Texas and California - more of them have died than ever before because they are crossing this desert in Arizona.

Dispatches from the Border | PHOTOGRAPHY Blog | dallasnews.com: "Getty Images photojournalist John Moore has been shooting some really impressive images along the U.S.-Mexico border in the Sonoran Desert of the Southwest. Moore, an Irving native and 1990 graduate of the University of Texas-Austin, has been using a mix of aerial and on-the-ground photographs to produce a really thorough body of work."
