Immigration Politics: Rahm Emanuel may lose Chicago race over immigration reform

This column, by Patrick Roberts, is from Irish Central, which describes itself as "a one-of-a-kind website for the global Irish community." The article describes the political conflict between Rahm Emanuel, President Obama's chief of staff, and Congressman Luis Gutierrez, both from Chicago, over immigration and the possibility of their competing to become the next mayor of Chicago (replacing Irishman Richard Daley). Ya gotta love both the Irish and Chicago, especiallly when it comes to Chicago politics.

Rahm Emanuel may lose Chicago race over immigration reform | IrishCentral: "If Rahm Emanuel wants to take over from Mayor Richard Daley in Chicago he is going to have to earn it. Last week's statement by Congressman Luis Gutierrez that he is forming an exploratory committe is a warning shot for Emanuel." Sept. 11, 2010
