Immigration Crackdown: Homeland Security touts record criminal removals

We'll have to see the details on how many had felony records. Last year the majority who were listed as criminals had only misdemeanor records, despite the government's claim that it was targeting serious criminals.  

The Associated Press: Homeland Security touts record criminal removals: "About half of the nearly 393,000 people removed from the country during the past year were criminals, according to Homeland Security Department statistics." Oct. 6, 2010
