This story - of the reported killing, Sept. 30, of a U.S. citizen by "Mexican narco-pirates" on Falcon Lake, a reservoir in the Rio Grande river - seems to be taking on its own dynamic. It is becoming a lightening rod for the dynamics between Mexico and the U.S., with all the political posturing of an election year and attendant media circus. We will be watching how the drama plays out.
