Immigration Crackdown: Immigration Enforcement Officials Ordered To Turn Over Documents

The challenges to the Secure Communities gain a step.

Immigration Enforcement Officials Ordered To Turn Over Documents: "Judge Shira Scheindlin of the Southern District of New York ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials to turn over documents that were requested in February by Uncover The Truth, a coalition of immigration and civil-rights advocacy groups opposing the so-called 'Secure Communities' fingerprinting program. The documents could help answer lingering questions as to whether the Obama administration had overreached in its efforts to force counties to participate in Secure Communities, which was created in March 2008" Dec. 10, 2010, Huffington Post
