Fifty-four percent of those surveyed support an Arizona-type law that calls for police to arrest illegal immigrants.
Fifty-five percent support local and state police checking citizens for documentation.
But the poll also found strong support for educating those who are here illegally.
'People tend to support the notion of providing educational and training opportunities for immigrant children here in the state,' Orr said."
