Whack-a-mole: U.S. drug agency head predicts Mexico will win war against drug cartels

The chief mole-whacker of the U.S. is whistling in the wind. And - to mix metaphors - we, and Mexico, are inheriting the wind.

U.S. drug agency head predicts Mexico will win war against drug cartels | GantDaily.com: "The acting head of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency said this week she had “no doubt” Mexico would win its war against drug cartels even as violence increases.

Michele M. Leonhart made the statement while attending the International Drug Enforcement Conference in Cancun, Mexico.

Leonhart grabbed attention from the Mexican news media when she said during a speech that the increase in violence indicated the drug cartels were turning against each other and fighting like “caged animals” as the Mexican government closes in on them.

She also said not only would Mexico win, “but also the rest of the world” if the drug cartels can be stopped from spreading their illegal business internationally."
