Immigration Politics - Florida: Immigrants keep pressure on state legislators

Immigrants keep pressure on state legislators -MiamiHerald.com: "Several hundred Latino farmworkers, students and business owners opposed to an immigration bill being considered by the Florida Legislature are spending the week hoping to dissuade lawmakers from passing immigration legislation.

Hundreds jammed the fourth floor Rotunda between the Senate and House chambers singing, dancing and carrying signs reading, 'I am Florida,' 'I am as USA as it Gets,' and Did the Founding Fathers Have their Papers?' The rally was in anticipation of debate on the Senate floor later Monday on an issue that could play large in next year's presidential election in Florida."
