Immigration Politics - Georgia: May Day rally planned to protest immigration bill, urge governor to veto

May Day rally planned to protest immigration bill, urge governor to veto: "About a thousand people gathered outside the Georgia Capitol for a May Day rally to call on Gov. Nathan Deal to veto a bill passed last month by the Legislature that aims to crack down on illegal immigration.

During the rally Sunday speakers expressed concern about workers' rights and the advancement of what they say is anti-immigrant legislation. Participants chanted in English and Spanish, cheered the speakers and waved signs."
