Immigration Politics - Texas: Many immigration bills not likely to make it through Legislature

Many immigration bills not likely to make it through Legislature: "The controversial 'sanctuary cities' bill received final passage in the Texas House on Tuesday and was on its way to the Senate, but most other immigration measures introduced in the House this session appear destined for the recycling bin.

The House has reached the point in the session where any bill that has been left pending in committee — like almost all 43 immigration-related bills that have been filed — will not meet the deadline to be scheduled for a floor debate."
