Whack-a-mole: Mexican ambassador predicts no quick end to drug war

Mexican ambassador predicts no quick end to drug war | AHN: "The Mexican ambassador to the United States predicted this week that his country’s fight against drug cartels would drag on a long time, while a former Mexican president suggested a change in strategies.

The ambassador, Arturo Sarukhan, also hinted that U.S. government hopes of stopping cross-border drug trafficking quickly might be unrealistic.
“There are no magic bullets” to stop illegal drug trafficking, Sarukhan said at a forum of the U.S.-Mexico Foundation in Washington, D.C."
