Weapons Traffic: Governor Rick Perry of Texas accuses Obama of imposing “arbitrary” and “misguided” firearms regulations

Totally expexted. We also still expect Gov. Perry to announce that he is running for president.

Rick Perry accuses Obama of imposing “arbitrary” and “misguided” firearms regulations | Texas on the Potomac | a Chron.com blog: "Gov. Rick Perry released a statement Wednesday criticizing the Department of Justice’s new requirements that firearms dealers report the names of people who buy two or more semi-automatic rifles at once.

The rule targets the four states that border Mexico – California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas – and aims to cut down on the gun trafficking that feeds into drug cartel violence. But Perry and the National Rifle Association bemoan the added government involvement and doubt the rule’s impact on illegal sales.

“Singling out border states and targeting legal gun sales and sellers will have little or no impact on the Mexican cartels transporting drugs, guns and cash to and from major cities throughout the U.S.,” Perry said."
