Drug Legalization: Time for NGOs to talk about drugs

An opinion from Britain that applies even more to NGO's in the U.S.. A number of organizations that focus on Latin America continue to shy away from open disucssion of legalization. "Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos who, in an extraordinary interview with the Observer, has called for efforts to "take away the violent profit that comes with drug trafficking ... If that means legalising, and the world thinks that's the solution, I will welcome it. I'm not against it."
