Translated by MexicoBlog

La Jornada: All political forces in Mexico have condemned the killing of two students from the Escuela Normal Rural Ayotzinapa at the hands of the police.

Enrique Peña Nieto, PRI (Institutional Revolutionay Party) presidential candidate, mourned the death of Alexis Herrera Jorge Pino and Gabriel Echeverria Jesus, and asked that those responsible before the law be brought to justice. PRI's national leader, Pedro Joaquin Coldwell, demanded an investigation.

The PAN (National Action Party) presidential aspirant, Josefina Vazquez Mota, also joined the condemnation and the demand for the application of the law. Also the mayor of Mexico City and member of PRD (Democratic Revolutionary Party), Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon, demanded an immediate investigation to determine responsibility for the deaths of two students and described what happened as "very unfortunate."

At the same time, members of the Senate's Advisory Board of the National Human Rights Commission yesterday made protest in the Senate, and PRI legislators joined the demand for a thorough investigation and punishment of the responsible police elements." Spanish original
