Human Rights Violations: 30 femicides in Veracruz since August of last year
Milenio: "From August 29, 2011 to February 8 of this year, in Veracruz state 30 femicides have been counted, said the director of the Collective for Research, Development and Education for Women (ICW), Mayela Garcia Ramirez. Since the adoption of the amendments to the Penal Code by which Veracruz established the legal concept of femicide, there have been 30 cases, so it is urgent that the authorities work to prevent this crime and the daily increase in the number of victims."
