Drug War Bloodshed: Violence kills at least 22 in Mexico

Violence kills at least 22 in Mexico - Americas - Al Jazeera English: "At least 22 people have been killed in a string of weekend attacks in Mexico, including a shooting at a bar in Monterrey, the country's third largest city, just hours after the nearby opening of football's Under-17 World Cup.

Four people, aged 18 to 25 years old, were killed on Sunday in Guadalupe, a city adjacent to Monterrey. 'The victims were gathering in front of one of their homes when armed men showed up in several vehicles and shot them,' an official said.

Another 14 people were killed in the western state of Michoacan, whose bodies were found early on Sunday, authorities said, also blaming drug cartel-related violence there."
