xinhuanet.com: "Mexican President Felipe Calderon said Friday he would name a special prosecutor for civilian victims of violence to help ease public dissatisfaction over the country's poor security. In his annual address to the nation, Calderon said the measure was a direct response to the rising discontent from ordinary Mexicans who were increasingly caught in the crossfire between security forces and organized criminal groups.
"I have the deep conviction that victims must be at the center of our attention," Calderon said, adding that this measure would help heal wounds and promote peace and justice in Mexico."

And sometimes I simply muse.
